Sending a crash log

We have a strict no-crashing policy at Regular Rate & Rhythm Software — but every once in a while, software misbehaves. When it does, your device keeps a record called a crash log, and sending it to us is the fastest way to a fix. No computer required:

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open SettingsPrivacy & SecurityAnalytics & ImprovementsAnalytics Data.
  2. The list is alphabetical. Scroll or search to entries beginning with the app's name (for example ICD10 Consult or Rowmote) — the most recent dates are what we want.
  3. Tap the entry, tap the share button in the top corner, and chooseMail.
  4. Send it to the app's support address — support@regularrateandrhythm.com (or support@rowmote.com for Rowmote) — along with a sentence about what you were doing when the crash happened.

On a Mac (Rowmote Helper)

  1. Open Console from Applications › Utilities.
  2. Select Crash Reports in the sidebar.
  3. Find the report beginning with Rowmote Helper, right-click it, chooseReveal in Finder, and attach the file to your email.

That's it. A crash log turns "it crashed" into "here's exactly what happened" — thank you for taking the two minutes.
